What makes Fans Of Film a green distributor?
We use VOD/video on-demand and DVD print on-demand services, that allow us to take the drive to the post office out of the picture...

According to the EPA the United States produces 2 million tons of eWaste every year which is one reason we support and encourage filmmakers to submit their films on line, rather then sending DVD's which ends up as eWaste", and empowering filmmakers with the opportunity to acquire their own distribution channel", There are many other markets that produce high levels of digital media, like Educational institutes, Religious organization, it goes on. A contract will go with this seal asking for the true value of DVD's to be enforced including environmental impact "yet to be valued" and the main form of digital distribution being in the form of downloads and on-demand video, and on-demand DVD publishing - like Lulu.com or CreateSpace. The New Mexico Film Office will offer educational materials to productions about the use of alternative materials and environmentally friendly practices in the production office and on-set. This would include information on: recycling; purchasing locally made and/or organic products; donating unused/unwanted items to local school, church or animal welfare organizations; using non-toxic/low-toxic supplies and paints;
