I was six years old when I first saw "E.T.," and my mind was made up. It didn't matter that I was still in first grade or that I was growing up in Buenos Aires, a world away from the American film industry. I knew in my heart from that moment forward that I would be a director, and my life since then has simply been a series of milestones on the road to the fulfillment of that dream.
Facing a turbulent political and economic environment in Argentina, my parents emigrated with my brother and I to Southern California when I was 15 to pursue a better life. I spoke virtually no English at the time, but was still thrust into a traditional American high school where I remained steadfast in the pursuit of my dream. My determination served me well, as I succeeded in gaining admission to some of the most prestigious universities in America, and eventually was offered a full scholarship to the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Immersed in film study, my vision for the stories I want to tell gradually emerged, and I am now dedicated to making films which will explore issues and peoples generally overlooked by the mainstream film industry.
