Native Texan, Holly Adams has worked in show business almost all her life in one form or another. At the age of 13, she received a full scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School where she danced with the company until she was 18. She continued on to New York City after dancing with various other ballet companies and in other shows. Her Achilles tendon snapped one day in a ballet class and that changed Holly’s life forever. She had taken up acting and won the lead role in her first acting audition, “The Girl” in a post modern nightmare, “Betaville”.
The movie got world wide cult attention and Holly was all of a sudden a cult movie star while at the same time she continued to work and tour the world as a dancer. At this point, she had caught the movie making and acting bug. After starring in almost 20 short and feature films, Holly decided to make a film of her own and began study at Hunter College in NYC towards her film degree. It was at this point that she met her soon to be husband in Taos, NM while visiting her mother there. Holly had lived the life of a gypsy for many years and was finally ready to settle down. She moved to Albuquerque in 1995 and finished her studies at UNM with a Cum Laude BA in Theater with an emphasis in directing.
After graduating in 1999, Holly gave birth to her daughter, Sage in 2000 and divorced her husband in 2006. While in Albuquerque, Holly managed Mariposa Gallery and taught exercise classes, she also choreographed several children’s shows. In 2007, Holly wrote, produced and directed her second short film and is currently in post production on her third.
