I've decided that in the process of raising $$ and working on Up Country (or whatever we end up calling it), to release the story in serialized novella form. Every $500 we raise, I'll put out another chapter. I'll be writing it (and revising it) as we go, so if we raise money faster than I can write, so be it. The end won't come until after we hit our goal. Enjoy!

Read Chapter 1Chapter 2
The first thing John noticed was the darkness. Kind of like walking into a cave. Here and there a shaft of sunlight hit the ground, but for the most part, the trees took care of that. It took John's eyes a second to adjust, to focus, to take in the shift in brightness. The floor of the woods was covered with a thick coat of dead leaves and rotting branches that had broken off duri… Continue

It's a back and forth decision on charging, not charging for FOF memberships and posting content to the site, as ning.com ushers in a new charge for Ning communities, of which forces us to go to the Ning Pro plan for $500 a year.
At this time I cant see the value in charging membership or charging to load and post content.
So here's a letter that will go out to anybody posting content to the site, I would love to get some feedback and any idea's that you might have… Continue

I'm taking a short break from preparing tomorrows live show to write a quick live show update.
There's going to be some VERY exciting features in this 24 hour marathon. The PR machine has been rolling with Rachel Devenport promoting the live show to a whole host of influential organisations. The show has received a stack of coverage on various indie film websites which is fabulous (thanks Rachel!).
There is still time to get involved with the show. If you're an indie filmma… Continue

All what I need is one million views on my video. If I reach that, I win $50,000. It will take less than a minute for you to watch it and bring me closer to my goal. Please, help:
April 13, 2010 writer/director John Wayne Bosley posted the opening
credit/airplane landing on Moosehead Lake sequence on YouTube and
posted links on Facebook, Twitter and a few other sites. Within a week
the sequence, that was originally intended just for potential investors
to see, had gained over 1,000 views, but more importantly it was
gaining attention of actresses... one of them was high fashion
model/actress Christy Bella Joiner who was looking for a project she
could really believe in.… Continue

Growing pains for FOF seems to be constant as we move through hard times
in the world, and as I learn more about what's wanted by filmmakers and
fans in this new digital landscape. Another thing that has been
constant is our presents on the web in cultivating the further
democratization of film distribution by offering tools and resources,
and even distribution on FOF using direct paypal video... Even though
we… Continue
