Big change for FOF

Some of you may have noticed that the film tab goes to the featured videos/shorts, trailers and now we have a channel tab that takes you to "The Fans Of Film Channel" http://fansoffilmchannel.com ....becoming a true network and distribution portal....

http://fansoffilm.com will remain a free and open film community for filmmakers and the crew and fans that follow

It has been my hope and dream to build an independent film site that would offer filmmakers something better than anything else going "even though there is always a better way"... I think we've come up with way to help level the playing field for the new breed of filmmaker, working very hard to build online audiences, and this is only going to get harder for a single filmmaker to stand out on the web as more filmmakers and content distributors come to the web..

We're not trying to be another Netflix or Indieflix, just a showcase of some of the best films and webshows from independent producers that "I Fans Of Film can find" and offer that to all my friends and fans here in New Mexico and our growing audience on Twitter "which by the way is getting close to 10K" WOW!.

Knowing that a filmmaker can't be in every city and state to promote their film, I've taken upon myself to be a medium for filmmakers with a focus on my own backyard (Albuquerque, NM population 500,000)...

Start small and build out so that we don't crash and burn is what I keep saying, so I've decided to add films and webshows slowly, instead of my original plan of waiting until I have a hundred films. Which would be very difficult and take days maybe even weeks, depending on my upload speed of course.

The distribution model is simple with a with a focus on PPV VOC/Video On Command) independent film site for independent labels that Fans Of Film finds marketable. 2 option of distribution.....

Model #1. we manage and market content for (50/50) no $ out of pocket.

Model #2. out of pocket money $9.95 a month for the streaming service (does not include extra minutes and channels) and a yearly membership of $100, and the filmmaker manages and markets their own content for 100% profit …(and many perks including partnerships and affiliate possibility's)

Note on webshows: to have your show listed you must be a member on the community site @ http://fansoffilm.com with 1st episode loaded. FOF is hand picking independently produced webshows for our free content on the site and we are excepting Youtube channels with add clicks so webshows could see revenue from their listing(;
