News Release: Film Studio Seeks Earth Day Project Film Clips
Be part of the first Twitter community film project. Create a portion of a scene for an Earth Day project organized by the local One Eye View/Warped Vision Studios.
Kipp Speicher, John Leonard, and Kelly Betz are seeking indy film makers to participate in "Listen," an Earth Day film project composed of many individually created video clips.
“We want people from around the world to be part of the celebration,” said film maker Kipp Speicher. “This project is a not-for-profit effort. It is a way for creative people to have their original ideas seen widely and, at the same time, to celebrate our planet.”
The script that his group has created requires broad participation. They will review all submissions to select the most appropriate footage they receive to complete the film. The submission deadline is April 15. The project will be released on YouTube on April 22, Earth Day.
Film clip submissions can be a maximum of 30 seconds of original footage rendered in mp2 or mp4, no larger than 25 MB. During the first 15 seconds, the film should be a situation of commotion—for example: parks, parties, restaurants, crowds, or traffic. The second 15 seconds should show people’s reactions to sudden total silence (loss of hearing).
Submissions should be emailed to: Listen.EarthdayProject@gmail.com. Include film company name and the names of all participants in the clip to be included in ending credits.
